Sanjay Vashishtha, B.A., LL. B(Honours), LL.M (Comparative Criminal Law, McGill University, Canada), MSc., (Criminology & Criminal Justice, University of Oxford, UK)
Mr. Sanjay Vashishtha pursued a bachelor of laws (B.A., LL. B(Hons) from the Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi (Central University). During his academic life at Jamia, he pursued his proclivity in addressing the issues pertaining to crimes against women and published extensively in this regard. His paper on Acid attack or ‘Vitriolage’ became one of the most cited papers on gender based violence in South Asia and beyond. Furthermore, his comparative study on cyber-crime against women was awarded by HPU, Govt. of Delhi and HRD Ministry. Mr. Sanjay was highly awarded for his advocacy skills but notably received the ‘Best Student (Trial) Advocate’ award by Surana & Surana (Patron Mr. Fali S Nariman) at RGNUL, Patiala in 2012 and ‘The Best Student Advocate’ by the Bar Council of India in 2013. He is also the recipient of ‘Central Scholarship for Academic Excellence’ for being one of the toppers of his batch (2013) and the Yearly Scholarship of the Bar Council of India (2013-14). He organized the All India Conclave on Sexual Harassment Law in 2014 as the convenor of the event. The conclave witnessed active participation from legal luminaries from all over the country.
